OMPASS World Cities, Samsung app

HyongaSoft is presenting OMPASS World Cities, the first Augmented Reality application for Windows Mobile. The application is developed specifically for the Samsung Omnia II.

Utilizing the digital compass on the Samsung Omnia II, the augmented reality provides various information on direction, degree of latitude, nearby venues and distances to places.

As the above definition of Augmented Reality shows it is not suitable for every device. Next to a GPS receiver, a compass, a camera and an Internet connection are necessary. This combination of specification is still quite rare for Windows Mobile devices for which the developers have been uninterested to develop applications for other Windows Mobile devices.
