Paypal App for Android

Paypal has launched an application for the mobile platform Android with which users can transfer money among eachothers.

The application makes it possible to make a payment and view balance information or purchase history from a mobile phone. So is it possible to pay back borrowed money after a night out directly from your the phone. If the recipient does not have a Paypal account it will receive an e-mail with instructions to open an account and collect the money.

iPhone

PayPal puts heavily on mobile technology. According to company CEO Jack Stephenson, the emergence of modern smart phones like the iPhone made that development possible: a few years ago you needed a lengthy negotiation for an expensive place within the telecommunications market controlled by cell phones providers, today it is a relatively open system on which you can easely offer an application for the iPhone. Click for the iPhone-version
