Albert Heijn, Ocado, Ebay, Zavvi and Amazon iPhone app

Albert Heijn launched the Appie iPhone application. Albert Heijn from the Netherlands is also working on an app for Windows Mobile, Symbian and BlackBerry users. Read more to find out about other apps in the UK and worldwide as well, like Amazon and Ebay.

The new free service of Albert Heijn has at least a nice name namely Appie. This can be downloaded from the AppStore on the iPhone or through iTunes and makes sure you always have your shopping list with you.

You get a list of previous purchases, bonus offers and all your other groceries you can easily put in a list. To ensure that you'll do some extra purchases, there are over 8,000 recipes (All kinds) to find. Luckely Appie also works on your PC and will be programmed for other Smartphones!

The main menu of the application consists of four parts: My list (shopping list), Products (Bonus offers and other products you can buy at the supermarket), Recipes (which speaks for itself) and in the Appie (a mix of actions, facts and Tips on using the application).

Amazon’s iPhone app lets you do exactly what you want to do in the world’s biggest online retail store – look for stuff, find stuff easily, then buy stuff. You can also take pictures of stuff that you want and send them to Amazon, who will try to find a product similar to the picture that you have sent that they have in stock.
