TomTom iPhone-app worldwide navigation

The iPhone app from TomTom is now available in the iTunes App Store. The navigation route is available for Western Europe, the Benelux and the U.S. plus Canada, Australia and New Zeeland, Southern Africa, Argentina and Uraguay, Turkey, Alps, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Thailand, the Middle East, Malaysia and Singapore, Greece, Mexico, Brazil

The Dutch supplier of navigation charges a top rate for his route app. Implementation for Western Europe costs less than 100 euros. The app with the Benelux alone costs 70 euros. Australia is the cheapest with 63 euros. That is still without the necessary kit, which TomTom has specifically made for the iPhone. It is still unknown what the windshield mount with charger costs. Prices around can variate.

iPhone Integration
The iPhone app offers a few useful functions that do not always provide regular navigation. So the app calculates the travel time based on the actual times of other TomTom users.

Furthermore, the software builds on the address book of the Apple smartphone to calculate routes to friends and family. It is not necessary to keep a separate directory the route system.
