Google Latitude, a new application from Google, it allows users to use their smartphone or computer to see where their friends are. Users of the application can choose how much information they release, and with whom. 

With Latitude, you can "approximate" the location of friends to share their location. "Now can you tell if your wife is stuck in traffic, or if one of your friends is in the city during the weekend," Google explains. The new application, they used is a different Google service as Google Maps.

The company is aware of any infringement of the privacy of its users. Latitude has a dense network of privacy controls, but it also allows users to choose different locations for different friends. "So your friends can think your are at Niagara Falls, while you're actually in Rome." Google Fans can already use Latitude in 27 countries on their smartphone, including Belgium and 13 other countries in the European Union.
