Nexus One Google

It has been a while since our latest article on mobile devices. The Nexus One is one which we had to write about.

The Nexus One is made by mobile phone manufacturer HTC and is equipped with the latest version (2.1) of Google's mobile operating system Android. According to Google, it is the fastest 'super phone' so far, as the company's latest generation of sophisticated smart phones is called. The unit uses the very fast Snapdragon processor.

The Nexus One has, like the iPhone, a large touchscreen. Lacking a physical keyboard. For text input, users can also opt for voice recognition.

It has an AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 3.7 inches and a resolution of 480x800 pixels. The screen has an average response time of 1 millisecond. The phone is 11.5mm thick, 119mm high and 59.8 mm wide. The Nexus One has a weight of 130 grams and can handle including GSM, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA. There is also support for 802.11b/g/n-wifi-verbindingen.
The 1400mAh battery provides a talk time of seven to ten hours and a standby time of 250 to 290 hours. When viewing video seven hours into the unit, while a full 20 hours battery time for music can be heard. The device can be controlled via the touchscreen and trackball, among the latter is also an LED that indicates with colors notifications. The Nexus One also has noise reduction.

The Nexus One telecom provider Vodafone will release it in the Netherlands. That could happen this year, but an exact date is not yet known.
