bekend van augmented reality applicaties, verschaft je, waar je ook bent, alle informatie die je nodig hebt. Stel je loopt in Lutjebroek en je ziet een leuke buurt. Start de applicatie op en richt het toestel op de omgeving, je kunt gelijk zien wat er allemaal te bieden valt in jouw ongeving.

Layar in 3D

In de 3.0 versie van hun software gaat de firma 3D, en krijgen de layars meer diepte en mogelijkheden . Op het blog van Layar worden al een aantal mooie voorbeelden genoemd.

Een layar, die wanneer je hem op het bouwterrein van de nieuwe Markthallen in Rotterdam richt, laat je het eindresultaat van het gebouw zien wat pas in 2014 overeind zal staan.

Een andere layar laat je naast de Beatles in London lopen of laten je allerlei 3D afbeeldingen ion de lucht hangen. Ook met 3.0 zal layar verder de wereld veroveren.
