Apple green and Greenpeace apps

Greenpeace puts Apple on top of the list of green companies that make consumer electronics. The company gets four green stars. The list of this companies was released earlier in the year, but still fits well into our category 'Green Mobile'. The list includes 18 companies selected by Greenpeace, whit Apple beating all others. Samsung and Nokia are also doing well in terms of telephony. We also present 2 nice free applications to support Greenpeace.

The environmental organization gives stars for desktops, notebooks, monitors and telephones. Apple has almost all PVC and BFRs removed from the entire product line, says Greenpeace. Of the remaining parties, only HP got two stars. Click for the Greenpeace list.

The Greenpeace Recycled Tissue and Toilet Paper Guide makes it quick and easy to find out which brands of facial tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, and napkins are truly green and which should be avoided. Greenpeace’s experts have carefully evaluated over 100 brands and recommended those that: contain 100% overall recycled content; contain at least 50% post-consumer recycled content; and are bleached without toxic chlorine compounds.
